Collin Boucher – the Knights lone returning starter on defense heading into the 2008 season – was was injured in Alter’s first game against Fairmont and missed the rest of the year with a knee injury.

Austin helped lead the Knights to their first state title with a win over Steubenville in the Division IV state final in December.

Other Knights headed to college include running back/linebacker Chris Borland (Wisconsin) and offensive lineman Evan Neff (Ball State).

According to Bucknuts.com recruiting analyst Bill Kurelic, there was talk of Austin Boucher making an official visit to Ohio State next weekend. That does not look like it will happen now.

“He was given an invitation to visit Ohio State next weekend, but I don’t think he is planning to take it,” Austin’s father Richard Boucher told Bucknuts.
