Here are the pairings for this weekend’s Ohio football playoffs:

Division I

Region 1

Cleveland Glenville (11-0) vs. Cleveland St. Ignatius (10-1), Lakewood Stadium – This game will be shown live on Sports Time Ohio at 7:30 p.m. This is a rematch from Week 1, when Glenville edged St. Ignatius 20-17. That is St. Ignatius’ only defeat this year.

These two schools also have a ton of playoff history. This will be their fifth playoff match-up in six years. Glenville has a 3-1 record in those games, losing in the first round in 2003 (24-21) and taking wins in the 2004 regional final (22-14), the first round in 2006 (19-12) and the first round last year (26-23). Glenville is ranked 18th nationally in the USA Today high school football Super 25 poll.

Mentor (9-2) vs. Strongsville (10-1), Parma Byers Field – Strongsville defeated Mentor 30-27 in Week 2.

Region 2

Twinsburg (9-2) vs. N. Canton Hoover (10-1), Canton Fawcett Stadium

Brunswick (10-1) vs. Canton GlenOak (9-2), Massillon Paul Brown Tiger Stadium – Brunswick stopped GlenOak 49-25 in the first round of last year’s playoffs.

Region 3

Worthington Kilbourne (9-2) vs. Hilliard Davidson (10-1), Dublin Coffman Stadium – Davidson defeated Kilbourne 17-10 in Week 7.

Pickerington Central (11-0) vs. Upper Arlington (10-1), Gahanna Lincoln Stadium – Pickerington Central handed UA its only loss, a 23-6 decision, in Week 1.

Region 4

Cin. Elder (10-1) vs. Clayton Northmont (10-1), Nippert Stadium – Northmont’s only loss is to 9-1 Cleveland St. Ignatius. Elder’s only loss is to Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas, ranked second nationally by USA Today. Elder is ranked 19th in the USA Today poll.

Huber Hts. Wayne (8-3) vs. Cin. Colerain (10-1), Nippert Stadium, Saturday, 3 p.m.

Division II

Region 5

Akron Hoban (7-4) vs. Mayfield (10-1), Solon Stewart Field

Talmadge (8-3) vs. Madison (8-3), Bedford Stewart Field at Bearcat Stadium

Region 6

Medina Highland (10-1) vs. Powell Olentangy Liberty (8-3), Ashland Community Stadium

Lexington (11-0) vs. Sylvania Southview (11-0), Tiffin Frost-Kalnow Stadium — Southview stopped Lexington 28-13 in the first round of last year’s playoffs. This is a match-up of unbeaten teams.

Region 7

Cols. Marion-Franklin (10-1) vs. Cols. DeSales (11-0), Dublin Scioto Stadium

Logan (11-0) vs. Louisville (11-0), Zanesville John D. Sulsberger Memorial Stadium – This is a match-up of unbeatens.

Region 8

Kings Mills Kings (8-3) vs. Cin. Winton Woods (10-1), Princeton Mancuso Field – Winton Woods took a 55-21 win in Week 5 at Kings.

Cin. Anderson (9-2) vs. New Carlisle Tecumseh (11-0), Centerville Stadium – Anderson, the defending state champion, is up against unbeaten Tecumseh.

Division III

Region 9

Chagrin Falls (8-3) vs. Cuya. Falls Walsh Jesuit (8-2), Solon Stewart Field

Hubbard (9-2) vs. Aurora (9-2), Warren Mollenkopf Stadium

Region 10

Tiffin Columbian (9-2) vs. Avon (11-0), Kalahari Field at Huron Memorial Stadium

St. Marys Memorial (9-2) vs. Sunbury Big Walnut (9-2), Indian Lake Stadium – Big Walnut is the defending D-III state champion.

Region 11

Canton S. (8-3) vs. Dover (10-1), Canton Central Catholic Lowell Klinefelter Field – Canton South took a 26-17 win over Dover in Week 1, avenging an 11-7 loss in the first round of the playoffs last year.

Poland Seminary (9-2) vs. Newark Licking Val. (10-1), New Philadelphia Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium

Region 12

Cols. Eastmoor Acad. (10-1) vs. Thornville Sheridan (11-0), DeSales Alumni Stadium

Chillicothe (8-3) vs. Circleville Logan Elm (11-0), Teays Valley Viking Stadium

Division IV

Region 13

Youngs. Mooney (9-2) vs. Steubenville (11-0), Canton Fawcett Stadium — This game will be shown live on Sports Time Ohio and also will be featured on an audio webcast on www.pressboxproductions.net. It will also be shown on tape delay on ONN at 9:30 p.m. Friday.

This is a match-up of state playoff royalty. Mooney has six state playoff titles and Steubenville has three. They met in the regional final a year ago with Mooney taking a 35-20 win, snapping a long Steubenville unbeaten streak.

Perry (10-1) vs. Mass. Tuslaw (10-1), Twinsburg Tiger Stadium

Region 14

Genoa Area (11-0) vs. Fostoria (10-1), Fremont Don Paul Stadium at Harmon Field

Marion Pleasant (10-1) vs. Ottawa-Glandorf (7-4), Findlay Donnell Stadium – Pleasant took a 48-21 win over Ottawa-Glandorf in the regional semifinals last year.

Region 15

Belmont Union Local (10-1) vs. Martins Ferry (10-1), Steubenville Reno Field at Harding Stadium – Martins Ferry took a 60-18 win over Union Local in Week 5.

Ironton (8-3) vs. New Lexington (10-1), Jackson Holzer Field

Region 16

Day. Oakwood (8-3) vs. Coldwater (11-0), Piqua Alexander Stadium Purk Field – Coldwater is the defending D-IV state champion.

Kettering Alter (9-2) vs. Hamilton Badin (8-3), Dayton Welcome Stadium

Division V

Region 17

Gates Mills Gilmour (10-1) vs. Youngs. Ursuline (11-0), Stow Bulldog Stadium

Kirtland (11-0) vs. Columbiana Crestview (10-1), Niles Bo Rein Stadium

Region 18

Bucyrus Wynford (11-0) vs. Hamler Patrick Henry (11-0), Bowling Green State University Doyt Perry Stadium, Saturday, 2 p.m. – This is a match-up of unbeatens.

Archbold (9-2) vs. Findlay Liberty-Benton (11-0), Bowling Green State University Doyt Perry Stadium – Liberty-Benton took a 45-13 win over Archbold in the first round of the playoffs last year.

Region 19

Cols. Ready (7-2) vs. Portsmouth W. (11-0), Logan Chieftain Stadium

Balt. Liberty-Union (10-1) vs. Wheelersburg (10-1), Jackson Holzer Field

Region 20

W. Jefferson (9-2) vs. Cin. Hills Christian Acad. (11-0), Kettering Roush Stadium

Waynesville (9-2) vs. Maria Stein Marion Local (9-2), Sidney Memorial Stadium – Marion Local is the defending D-V state champion.

Division VI

Region 21

Mogadore (10-1) vs. Bascom Hopewell-Loudon (11-0), Mansfield Madison Ram Field – Hopewell-Loudon took a 40-16 win over Mogadore in the regional semifinals last year.

McDonald (11-0) vs. Norwalk St. Paul (11-0), Medina Ken Dukes Stadium – This is a match-up of unbeatens.

Region 22

Pandora-Gilboa (10-1) vs. Ada (11-0), Lima Bath Stadium

Delphos St. John’s (9-2) vs. Carey (10-1), Kenton Robinson Field

Region 23

Glouster Trimble (9-2) vs. Hannibal River (11-0), Marietta Don Drumm Stadium

Shadyside (9-2) vs. Malvern (11-0), East Liverpool Patterson Field

Region 24

Covington (9-2) vs. Mechanicsburg (11-0), Troy Memorial Stadium

Spring. Cath. Cent. (8-3) vs. Sidney Lehman Cath. (9-1), Clayton Northmont Good Samaritan Stadium – SCC defeated Sidney Lehman 48-14 in a regional final last year.
