“I just committed to Ohio State a few minutes ago,” McDougald said.  “It just felt like the right place to be.”

McDougald rushed for close to 400 yards during his sophomore season and gained 1045 yards and scored 13 times during his junior season.  McDougald accounted for over 1600 all-purpose yards.

McDougald also played some cornerback towards the end of his junior season and intercepted a pass.  He will play safety for the Buckeyes.

“I spoke to coach (Luke) Fickell and told him,” McDougald said.  “Then I talked to coach (Jim) Tressel.  They were both excited.  I'll be a safety at Ohio State.”

McDougald becomes Ohio State commitment No. 22 for the Buckeyes' 2009 recruiting class.
