Former Lebanon coach Dave Brausch has been hired as the new head football coach at Clermont Northeastern. Brausch, who won the Division II state in 1998 at Lebanon, had been the head coach the past three seasons at Sandusky Perkins.
We are very happy,” Clermont Northeastern athletic director Jason Tackett told the Community Press. “We consider ourselves very lucky.”
Brausch has a history of turning around programs and will look to do so at Clermont Northeastern, which has gone 5-15 the past two seasons.
The school has not had a winning season since the 1980s, according to Tackett.
“We want to get more kids playing and become competitive,” Brausch told the Community Press. “…Our goal is to have a winning season. It is going to take some good, hard work and some good assistant coaches.”
