The Lady Braves fell behind 9-2 at one point in the first quarter and were down 12-6 heading into the second stanza. Olentangy warmed up from the field to outscore McAuley 31-13 over the next two periods to take control of the game.
McAuley (2-13) was led by Lauren Wood and Michelle Watson with six points each.
Earlier in the day, Delaware Hayes put away Clayton Northmont with a 16-2 first period and a 17-2 third quarter for a 59-30 win.
Delaware (7-10) put three players into double figures, led by Makeda Matthews scoring a game-high 17 points. Chelsie Burden and Brittany Skeens each tallied 12 points and Anasa Matthews scored nine.
For Northmont, Carrie Shellabarger and Lauren Gorden both scored eight points.
The host Pickerington Central Lady Tigers took the court last for a Division I battle against Shaker Heights. Behind a 15-8 second quarter surge, the Lady Tigers posted a 49-39 win.
Pickerington Central's scoring included Emilee Harmon posting 15 points, Jessica Powell scoring 10 points and Kristen Stevens tallying nine.
Karisma Penn led Shaker Heights with 21 points and Carmonita Williams added six.
The Lady Tigers (13-2) return to the Shootout floor Monday evening to close the tournament against Albany Alexander.
In other action during the day, Mid-State League Ohio Division co-leader Bexley High School pulled out a 55-53 win over the Ohio Capital Conference member Marysville. Toledo Start defeated Eastlake 67-42 and Oak Hill defeated Mohawk 73-47.
Five games are on the docket for Sunday. The day begins with a battle of top 15 teams in Division II as fifth-ranked Kettering Alter takes on 15th ranked Circleville. Following the 12:45 p.m game is Dayton Carroll taking on Cleveland Glenville, Northmont challenging Start, Glen Este playing Toledo Notre Dame and Gahanna capping off the evening against Margaretta. Gahanna is led by Ohio State University commitment Amber Stokes.
