Lancaster’s White repeats as state champion; Walsh Jesuit claims team title by 13 strokes

Lancaster’s Allie White defended her individual state title on Saturday by carding a two-day total of 145 at Ohio State’s Gray Course during the Girls Golf State Tournament. White shot a 144 last year. The team state title went to Cuyahoga Falls Walsh Jesuit which maintained its 13-stroke edge over runner-up from Friday’s first round. The Warriors shot a 323 on Friday and a 326 Saturday to end with 649. 


COLUMBUS – Lancaster’s Allie White defended her individual state title on Saturday by carding a two-day total of 145 at Ohio State’s Gray Course during the Girls Golf State Tournament.

White shot a 144 last year.

Shamira Marshall of Macedonia Nordonia came in second with a 147.

The team state title went to Cuyahoga Falls Walsh Jesuit which maintained its 13-stroke edge over runner-up from Friday’s first round. The Warriors shot a 323 on Friday and a 326 Saturday to end with 649. Mason, which shot a 336 Friday, bounced back with a 326 of its own on the final day.

Erin Misheff shot a 77 to lead Walsh, while Amanda Costanzo added an 86 and Kelly Krusoe an 80.
