Dublin Jerome captures team title after finishing runner-up last year; Darby’s Haley takes medalist honors

Last year Dublin Jerome fell just short in its bid for a Division I boys golf state title. Saturday, at OSU’s Scarlet Course, the Celtics brought home the hardware. The Celtics outdistanced runner-up Cincinnati Moeller 639-652. Last year Jerome lost to Upper Arlington by five strokes. David Haley Jr. of Hilliard Darby finished with a two-day total of 153 to finish first in the medalist standings.


COLUMBUS – Last year Dublin Jerome fell just short in its bid for a Division I boys golf state title. Saturday, at OSU’s Scarlet Course, the Celtics brought home the hardware.

Aaron Siekmann shot a 77 for a two-day total of 155
to lead Jerome as the Celtics outdistanced runner-up Cincinnati Moeller 639-652. Last year Jerome lost to Upper Arlington by five strokes.

Paul Grauer shot a 79 for the second straight day to help Jerome achieve its 13-stroke win. Jerome led Moeller by 10 strokes after Friday’s first round.

David Haley Jr. of Hilliard Darby finished with a two-day total of 153 to finish first in the medalist standings, while Siekmann and Ethan Tracy of Hilliard Darby finished tied for second with 155.
