As a reminder, the ONN/Ohio High Power Poll will be updated following the third weekend of Ohio high school games. The rankings we are referencing here are still from the preseason poll.
Here is a look at key games for the third weekend in Ohio:
On Thursday, Fox Sports Net Ohio will televise two games to a split portion of the state: Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy at Cincinnati Mariemont, 7 p.m. (Southwest Ohio package); Wadsworth at Medina, 7 p.m. (NE package).
On Friday, here are some of the key games:
Cincinnati LaSalle visits Lexington (Ky.) Clay, Columbus Watterson hosts Westerville South, Akron Hoban hosts Youngstown Mooney (Division IV, No. 1), Dublin Coffman (Division I, No. 2) hosts Westerville Central, Clayton Northmont hosts Centerville and Massillon Washington travels to Normandy.
Also Friday, Cincinnati Colerain (Division I, No. 4) hosts London (Ont.) Clarke Road School, Sunbury Big Walnut (Division III, No. 1) visits Chillicothe, Kettering Alter (Division IV, No. 2) visits Greenville, Steubenville (Division IV, No. 3) visits East Liverpool, Lima Central Catholic (Division V, No. 1) hosts Paulding, Norwalk St. Paul (Division VI, No. 1) visits Elyria Catholic and Toledo Whitmer visits Fostoria.
Also Friday, Madison visits Mentor Lake Catholic, while Washington C.H. Miami Trace visits New Carlisle Tecumseh.
In a match-up of defending state champions, Division V champion St. Henry travels to Division VI state champion Maria Stein Marion Local (Division V, No. 2). St. Henry won 31-0 last year. This game will be aired on tape delay by ONN at 9:30 p.m. Friday.
Key games on Saturday include:
Trotwood-Madison (Division II, No. 1) hosts Lucas Secondary School. Lakewood St. Edward hosts Washington (D.C.) Woodson at Lakewood Stadium. Cleveland St. Ignatius hosts Buffalo (N.Y.) Canisius at Parma’s Byers Field. Also, Akron Buchtel visits Warren Harding and Cincinnati Moeller hosts Bloomfield Hill (Mich.) Brother Rice.
Also, Cincinnati St. Xavier (Division I, No. 1) hosts Cleveland Glenville (with WR-DB Cordale Scott). That game will be televised live at 2 p.m. Saturday by ONN.
