represent the U.S. at the FIVB U-18 World Championships scheduled for July

held in Tijuana, Mexicali and Ensenada.

“I am very, very excited (about representing my country),”
Sage said. “This is a great opportunity.”

Sage and Adams were selected from a pool of 18 potential
players who were invited to the National Team training tryouts in Chula Vista,
Calif. The team will train at that locale until July 29 and then leave for Mexico.

Upon returning to the U.S. on Aug. 13, both Sage and Adams
will refocus on the Ohio high school season, which begins competition Aug. 25.
Practice starts while they are away.

A 6-foot-3 outside hitter, Sage led Huron to the Division
III state semifinals last season and hopes to do so again. She has committed to
UCLA, where she will become the first athlete from Ohio to play for the Bruins.

Adams, a 6-2 middle blocker, helped the Cougars win the
Division I state championship last season. She is undecided on a college.
